Outdoor Appointments
Fresh air, and space
Working outside provides so many benefits - we can walk and talk or find a lovely place to sit and bring the outdoors into our work together. I work outside in the Colchester, north Essex/south Suffolk area. We would begin with a meeting on zoom.

How many sessions will I need? This is very individual. I recommend a minimum of 8 sessions to begin with, so we can establish a therapeutic relationship, then we can assess where you are and what you would like to do. Some people continue for longer term support, others only need a few sessions.

What happens with Confidentiality?Everything that we discuss will be confidential and will not be shared. Any information held will be password protected and dealt with in line with current GDPR legislation. There are only two exceptions to this, which we can discuss in your consultation. If I am concerned that you, or someone else, is at serious risk of harm, we will discuss this concern together and then I may seek additional support from your GP or other healthcare professional. Therapists are also required to have supervision, where we discuss issues that arise through our work with a qualified supervisor. Supervisors are under the same duty of confidentiality as I am as a therapist.
-
What if I have to cancel a session? If you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances I require 24hrs notice otherwise the session will be deemed chargeable. I will always do my best to offer another day in the same week, if possible.

Can you tell me more about therapy outside?Absolutely! For some people, sitting online or in a room with a counsellor can seem overwhelming and even unpleasant. Working outside provides so many benefits - we can walk and talk or find a lovely place to sit and bring the outdoors into our work together. I work outside in the Colchester area. We would begin with a meeting on zoom.
