Perhaps you love each other, but keep getting stuck in the same patterns.
Maybe you're arguing about the same things, struggling to communicate or feeling increasingly disconnected. Couples counselling gives you both space to understand what's happening and explore what could change.
A space for both of you...
My role isn't to decide who is right or wrong.
I'll help you both have space to be heard and understood, while exploring the patterns that have developed between you.
I use Transactional Analysis alongside specialist couples counselling training to help couples understand what happens between them and what may be keeping them stuck.

What happens in couples counselling?
Our first sessions are an opportunity for me to understand both of you and what has brought you to counselling.
I'll make space for each of you to talk about your experience of the relationship and what you'd like to be different.
We can then start to look at the patterns that develop between you — what happens before an argument, how each of you responds and what may be keeping the cycle going.
My role isn't to take sides or tell you who is right. It's to help you both understand what's happening and find ways of communicating and relating that feel more constructive.
Taking your first step towards Couples Counselling...
Could counselling help?
You don't need to know exactly what you want to talk about before getting in touch.
I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute phone call so we can talk briefly about what's happening and see whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
Sessions and fees
Couples sessions are £85 (£90 fortnightly). Sessions are available in Colchester and online.
To get the most out of the process I recommend starting with six sessions, held weekly.
